Kaddey's Switch-E e-kit claims 54 holes a charge as batch two moves to January delivery

Kaddey's owner video shows the eight-step install and walk-to-follow control of its electric kit for the Switch trolley. Its store now lists the kit at a €2,089 sale price with batch two delivery planned for January.

  • Kaddey, maker of the flat-folding Switch push trolley, has shown how its electric add-on works. The Switch-E E-Kit bolts onto the manual Switch+ frame and uses what Kaddey calls PaceSync to follow your walking pace without buttons. Kaddey posted the video for its first owners on September 8, and its store now gives the current price and the delivery plan for the next batch.

  • What the video shows

In the video Kaddey says the first 500 E-Kits sold out before a single unit shipped. It had promised 36 holes per charge and says testing now confirms up to 54. The install is eight steps: take the wheel arms off a manual Switch, slide on the parts marked left and right, slide in the new wheel arms with the two motors, click on the wheels, hang the two cables from the pacing unit, seat it on the wheel arms and feed the cables in, then flip the front wheel.

To start, you hold the button for three seconds until four lights count up, grab the handle and walk. Kaddey says the sensors read movement, angle and orientation more than 100 times a second, and the two motors adjust independently in turns. You slow or stop it by pulling back gently, which the video says takes two fingers, and it holds still when parked on a slope.

  • The video also flagged a delay. One supplier was late with the last part Kaddey was waiting on, though the company said it was still aiming for September shipping.

    Where it stands now

Kaddey's product page lists the E-Kit at a €2,089 sale price against a regular €2,489. Its timeline marks batch one delivery in September as complete, puts batch two production in October to December and plans batch two delivery for January. The video had said December, and the Switch-E landing page still says to ride electric from December 2026. The company says Switch+ three-wheel trolleys delivered from June 2024 are compatible, and that the kit installs in five minutes.

Kaddey's spec sheet lists a removable 36V lithium battery, a folded size of 86 by 40 by 9 cm, and an app with over-the-air updates, an anti-theft mode and adjustable auto-stop distance. A remote is an optional add-on, and the FAQ puts the E-Mote's expected shipping at November 2026. The FAQ still quotes 36-plus holes per charge in one answer while the spec table says 54-plus, so treat 54 as Kaddey's best-case number.

  • Should you wait

Pricing is in euros only, and Kaddey hasn't published U.S. pricing. If you already own a Switch+ from mid-2024 or later, the kit is a bolt-on rather than a new trolley. If you are buying from scratch, a January delivery means the earliest batch-two kits arrive in the middle of winter, so the useful test will be spring rounds on hilly courses.
