Charlie Woods made a 40-foot birdie putt on his final hole Tuesday to win the Class 1A-District 14 individual title in Florida. The 17-year-old son of Tiger Woods shot a 2-under 69 at Champions Club at Summerfield in Stuart, one better than his Benjamin School teammate Brooks Colton, the Palm Beach Post reported.
Colton shot 1-under 70, helped by an eagle on the fourth hole. With its top two players finishing first and second, Benjamin posted a team score of 290 and won the district by 15 strokes over Oxbridge Academy. King's Academy was third at 311.
"We got two good rounds out of Charlie and Brooks," Benjamin coach Toby Harbeck told the Post. "Charlie made a 40-foot putt on the last hole to win the individual title. Charlie shot a 69 and Brooks shot a 70. That's what you want out of your No. 1 and No. 2."

Woods birdied Nos. 4, 10, 13 and 18. Harbeck said the course "played really hard, long, and windy and rainy," and that Oxbridge and King's Academy put pressure on Benjamin early before the Buccaneers pulled away on the back nine.
Where Woods goes from here
Benjamin is the defending Florida boys state champion, and the district win moves the team on in the postseason. "You're trying to move on each week and get to the finals, so that's what we did," Harbeck said.
Woods is a senior. Golfweek reported that he is set to play at Florida State next fall in a recruiting class that includes Miles Russell, the top-ranked prospect in the class of 2027. In September he shot an even-par 71 and finished eighth at the Palm League Championship, where Benjamin won the team title.
Benjamin's next postseason round comes as it tries to repeat as state champion, and Woods goes into it as the district medalist.
