Julien Sale closed with a 7-under 65 on Sunday to win the HotelPlanner Tour Grand Final at Club de Golf Alcanada in Mallorca, finishing at 22-under 266 and four shots clear of Hamish Brown. Brown's runner-up finish was enough to keep him No. 1 on the season-long Road to Mallorca rankings, and Sale climbed five spots to second. Both men, along with 13 others, will hold DP World Tour cards in 2027.
Sale, a Frenchman who played college golf at Arkansas State, led after the second and third rounds. Sunday's 65 was the low round of the day, and this was his second HotelPlanner Tour win of the season after the Le Vaudreuil Golf Challenge in July. Sale, also the reigning Philippine Open champion on the Asian Tour, earned €85,000. "The putter was really hot, I made a few putts," he said, per the Asian Tour.

Warren jumps in, Southgate falls out
Marc Warren had the best day of anyone on the bubble. The four-time DP World Tour winner came to Mallorca 20th in the rankings, and with double points on offer he shot 68-68-68-69 to tie for fifth. He birdied the 18th to finish the job and climbed seven spots to 13th. Golf News Net says he was the only player in the 45-man field to move into the top 15 during the week.
Matthew Southgate went the other way. He started the week 15th, tied for 26th at 8 under and ended 16th, short of the last card. Giboudot took that card despite a T39 finish that dropped him two places. Golf Monthly reports that players finishing 16th through 20th get DP World Tour category 19 status, which brings a fair number of starts, though many won't be confirmed until closer to each event.
Daffue's third-place finish lifted him to fifth. Blomstrand, fourth for the season, tied for eighth.
Catlin's Hong Kong week runs out
John Catlin came straight from his Hong Kong Open win, which got him a first Masters invitation, and finished fourth at 16 under. The Asian Tour says that left him 19th in the final rankings, a few places short of a full card.
What's next
The graduates can start playing DP World Tour events in about three weeks, once the current season ends at the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai. Golf News Net and OA Sport both report that fewer cards were on offer this year than in past seasons. Gough and Nolan, the young players Golf Monthly singled out in the top 10, are the two names to follow once the 2027 schedule starts.
