WTGL opens Nov. 8 with Los Angeles Golf Club against New York on ESPN

WTGL's first match is 13 days away. Los Angeles Golf Club faces New York Golf Club on Sunday, November 8, at 3 p.m. ET on ESPN from SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, the same arena that hosts TGL.

The women's league schedule, released September 15, sets a five-team, 10-match round robin before playoffs. Regular-season play ends December 15 with Los Angeles against Boston Common Golf on ION. Semifinals are December 20 and 21. The best-of-three finals are December 22 and 23 on ESPN2, with a decider the same night as Match 2 if needed.

Opening night and the ABC window

Opening night pairs Michelle Wie West and Gaby Lopez's Los Angeles side with Lydia Ko and Rose Zhang's New York club, per WTGL's schedule release. Tickets for regular-season matches are already on sale for SoFi Center, which holds about 1,500 fans around the rotating green and simulator screen.

WTGL's first ABC date is Sunday, November 29: Boston Common Golf vs. New York at 1 p.m., then Motor City Golf Club vs. Atlanta Drive GC at 3:30 p.m. ESPN and ION carry the rest of the U.S. window under the rights deal announced with the LPGA partnership. Atlanta's WTGL group for that Motor City match includes Charley Hull alongside Minjee Lee, Andrea Lee, Yuka Saso and Nataliya Guseva.

Same format as TGL

Matches are three-against-three over about two hours. A win is worth two standing points, an overtime loss is worth one, and a regulation loss is worth zero. The top four teams reach the playoffs. Shot clock, Hammer and mic'd players carry over from TGL, which is the point for indoor golf fans who already know the men's product.

What to watch next

Mark November 8 for the opener on ESPN, then November 29 for the ABC doubleheader. For sim golfers, WTGL is the first live SoFi Center product of the winter. TGL's seven-team men's season starts December 27, four days after the WTGL finals window closes.
