Landon Ashworth's gallery sketch: every painting is somehow about golf

The 89-second comedy, posted Nov. 5, puts Ashworth in an art gallery with painter Tess Fowling as he reads four-putts, pointillism and water carries into canvases that are, as she keeps saying, just trees.

  • Landon Ashworth's newest sketch is 89 seconds of a golfer who cannot see a painting without seeing a round. Uploaded Nov. 5 on his directing channel, "When Golf Is Your Entire Personality" drops him into a gallery with artist Tess Fowling while every canvas turns into a missed putt or a bad club choice.

  • Ashworth wrote and stars in the bit. Fowling plays herself. He calls one tree "the most accurate representation of golf" and a commentary on four-putts and isolation. She answers that it is just a tree. Pointillist dots become "a thousand tiny little mistakes" on a scorecard. Another canvas is a golfer stuck with driver when he should have three-wood, trees left and right. A third painting is, in his read, a dad issue they both share.

The description says every painting in the sketch is a one-of-one for sale, with a link to Anticus for an Augusta-themed piece by Tessa Nicole. The tag line is blunt: take a golf addict to an art gallery and every painting becomes about golf.
