FSX owners: what you keep, and what Premier now gives you free
Your perpetual FSX license keeps working, and Foresight now adds Silver, Course Pass and your Premier-ready courses at no charge. Here is what that covers and what still costs money.

TPL reported on October 17 that Foresight now gives eligible license holders Foresight+ Silver and Course Pass at no charge. This piece answers what FSX owners have asked since Premier arrived: what happens to the software you already paid for, and what you now get in Premier without paying.
Your FSX license still works
Foresight's help center says a perpetual FSX license "is unaffected by the Foresight+ launch." You can keep using FSX Live, FSX Play or FSX Pro with no registration, migration or subscription. FSX Play is in sustainment: it still gets critical bug and security fixes but no new features, and Foresight says it has no plan to end-of-life it. FSX 2020 is different. Foresight says it "is no longer actively supported," so if you're still on it, Premier is the supported way forward.
What's now free in Premier
If your Foresight account holds an eligible perpetual license, Foresight says Silver and Course Pass are already on it. There's nothing to activate, no code and no credit card, and it isn't a trial. It stays while the eligible license stays on the account, with no end date, though Foresight says plans, features and eligibility may change under the Foresight+ terms.

- Silver: unlimited saved sessions, dispersion view, shot tagging and target zones, Ladder and Target Practice drills, and community challenges.
- Course Pass: 30-plus Foresight courses playable in Premier.
- Courses you already own: any course you owned on your license that has a Premier version is now playable in Premier.
What still costs money
Course Pass Pro, which opens the full Premier library, and the Gold tier remain paid upgrades. Premier's site puts the full library at 111 courses.
GSPro and your account screens
Foresight says the free Silver and Course Pass don't change GSPro access that runs through an existing FSX perpetual license. Your account screens may lag for a few weeks: a badge reading Free, a "Join Silver" prompt or Course Pass offered for sale. Foresight says your access already works, so don't buy Course Pass if you're prompted. If Silver features stay locked, sign in with the email your license is registered to.
Who isn't covered
Units sold on a subscription, including the Bushnell Launch Pro and the GC3S, follow their own subscription arrangements rather than this perpetual-license offer.
The Perfect Lie's take
If you own an FSX perpetual license, open Premier this week and sign in with your license email. You lose nothing in FSX, you gain Silver, Course Pass and your Premier-ready courses, and the only reason to pay is the full library.
