Official integrations vs. community connectors: what “supported” means
New sim platforms publish short official monitor lists and point everything else to open APIs. Here is the difference, and why it matters when something breaks.

Every new sim platform answers "does it work with my launch monitor?" in two tiers, and the gap between them is easy to miss.
Official integration
An official integration means the software company, and usually the monitor maker, built and maintain the connection. When a firmware update breaks it, it's their problem to fix. Today's lists are short:
- PurePlay: Square Golf, Spectrum Element, ProTee VX, GolfJoy, VTrack, Nova, NVisage, Bullseye and Garmin.
- Infinite Tees: Nova, Spectrum, VTrack and Bullseye.
- Foresight Premier: Foresight and Bushnell hardware only.
- GOLF+ Sim: not announced yet. Its FAQ says details are "coming soon." GOLF+ is targeting late 2026 and runs on a Meta Quest headset.
Community connector
A community connector is a bridge someone else wrote against a platform's open API. Infinite Tees says plainly that such connectors exist but "are not officially supported." They can work well, but they stop when either side changes something, and no vendor owes you a fix.

Connections can move between tiers
ProTee's own changelog shows how this plays out. In August 2026, ProTee Labs "fully migrated to the official ProTee connector for GSPro," adding that the "GSPro OpenAPI is no longer supported" for VX. The connection went from community-style to official, and the old path was shut off.
How to check before you buy
- Find your exact model, not just the brand, on the vendor's own support page.
- Check whether the connection needs a license or upgrade on either side.
- If a creator's video shows it working through a connector, treat it as one working setup, not a guarantee.
The Perfect Lie's New Sim Software Tracker keeps each platform's official and community lists separate, with the date we last checked.
