A five-day garden-room build shows the work around a golf simulator
An archival UK build follows the enclosure, floor, ball protection and projector placement after the concrete base is ready.

A garden-room golf simulator is more than a screen at the end of a shed. The Home Improvements Channel UK’s full-build video follows the room from insulated panels to a playable bay, showing how the floor, surrounding protection and projector fit together.
The video was published on November 9, 2025. Its five-day build is an archival case study, with a prepared concrete base already in place when the filmed assembly begins. That distinction matters when considering the schedule: the footage does not show a complete project starting with untouched ground.

The crew first checks the base tracks and their diagonals before assembling the walls. Once the shell is up, the floor receives a moisture membrane and insulation. Black stretch fabric covers the ceiling, and artificial turf later provides the room’s finished surface.

The video credits work with Golf Sim Rooms and the Insulated Panel Store, and identifies Tekden in the build. Tekden’s current company page describes its work in garden rooms and insulation. The filmed project includes paid promotion; its old sponsor offers are separate from the construction choices shown here.
The sequence then moves through the main electrical supply, door installation and simulator equipment. By that point, the enclosure and services are ready for the parts that turn it into a hitting space.
Protect the surfaces around the screen
Around 21 minutes, the crew adds foam protection to the wall and ceiling areas surrounding the impact screen. LED lighting frames the bay. At approximately 23:40, the screen installation uses a rear layer tensioned with bungees and a front layer.
The presenter explains that the assembly needs enough movement to absorb a struck ball. The goal is to manage impact rather than pull the screen so tight that the ball springs back toward the player.
The ceiling projector is positioned behind the swing area, and the computer sits in a cabinet to the side. Near 26:40, underlay brings the hitting strip level with the surrounding black turf. Those details make the finished room easier to understand than a final beauty shot alone.
The source does not establish a complete project price or identify every simulator component. Its value is the visible order of work: prepare and enclose the room, finish the surfaces and services, then install and protect the hitting bay. The five-day claim describes this filmed assembly, with the base preparation completed beforehand.
