Tekbud’s Cursed Grounds brings castle targets and a dragon fight to GSPro

The Halloween release supports up to four players, but its scoring requires On Course Practice rather than Local Play.

  • Tekbud’s new Cursed Grounds turns a GSPro session into three target games: a castle siege, a zombie village with chain reactions and a dragon fight. Designer Brent Wells released the Halloween course on his members server October 16.

The setup matters before the first swing. Wells says to launch Cursed Grounds through Practice, then On Course Practice. Its scoring does not work in Local Play. A panel lets players set names, shot limits and a group of up to four.

IrishHitmanMark’s Whackit’ Golf posted a full playthrough October 17. The creator demonstrates the menus and the three games, including the switch into On Course Practice that enables the points and effects.

  • Targets instead of a scorecard

The first game, Siege of Ravenhold, places targets around a castle. Wells’s release notes include a 1,000-point beacon on top of a tower. In the playthrough, Mark works through the targets and shows how a ball can reach a scoring area after rolling or ricocheting, rather than only landing directly on it.

Blast Radius moves the action into a village. Golf balls trigger explosions around zombies and red barrels, with connected blasts offering a way to build the score. The third game gives players 20 shots and three hearts against Ashfang, a dragon that lands with a target ring around it.

Mark also identifies a practical menu quirk while entering player names: he uses the on-screen letter buttons with his mouse because typing on the keyboard triggers game commands. His video includes a note that some castle colors look wrong in the recording because of his camera, rather than the course design.

  • Cursed Grounds is listed as a Tekbud Patreon exclusive. The creator of the playthrough was unsure whether the download was also on the main server; Wells’s own course listing identifies it as members-only. The access requirement should therefore be checked with Tekbud before anyone expects to find it in the public library.
