Charley Hull says a friend stopped her from putting her first tattoo on her forehead after a night out in Ibiza when she was 17. The words ended up on her foot instead.
Hull recounted the episode to Golfweek's Adam Schupak in an interview published October 18. She and her friend James shared the saying “hold tight.” According to Hull, James rejected her proposed forehead placement, she had the words tattooed on her foot, and he received a matching tattoo on his arm.
She said she woke the next morning confused about the plastic wrapping on her foot before James reminded her what had happened. The interview describes a teenage memory; Hull is now 30, according to her LPGA profile.

The interview also turns to slow play
Hull proposed suspensions for slow players, smaller fields and weekend twosomes. Those are her suggestions. In the same conversation, she also described a matching lightning-bolt tattoo with Georgia Hall.
Her pace-of-play comments arrive during a week in which the LPGA enforced its existing rules. Golf Monthly reported October 18 that the tour confirmed two-stroke penalties for Carlota Ciganda and Yealimi Noh during their third rounds at the Buick LPGA Shanghai. Ciganda's penalty came on the 13th hole and Noh's on the 15th for exceeding their allotted time.
That report gives the interview's policy discussion a current reference point. Hull did not say she was responding to those specific penalties, and her proposed suspensions should not be confused with the tour's current enforcement.
