The PGA Tour cancelled the final round of the Butterfield Bermuda Championship on Sunday, October 25, and made the 54-hole results official. Seamus Power and Austin Smotherman, tied for the lead at 16 under, will meet in a sudden-death playoff at 8 a.m. ET Monday, weather permitting, with Golf Channel carrying it.
No final-round golf was played Sunday at Port Royal Golf Course. Wind kept the field off the course all day, according to Golfweek.
Why the Tour stopped at 54
The Tour said in a statement that "due to the unfavorable weather forecast for Monday" and "the uncertainty surrounding the completion of the entire final round on Monday, the tournament results will be considered final through 54 holes in accordance with PGA Tour Regulations." GOLF.com and Golf Channel both posted the decision within minutes of the announcement.

Golfweek notes the last time the Tour wiped out a whole day was the 2024 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, when the Sunday round was postponed and then cancelled on Monday, and Wyndham Clark won at 54 holes.
The playoff and the money
The playoff starts on the 18th hole and repeats it, with the cup moved after the second and fourth extra holes if they go that far, according to Golfweek. Smotherman won the Bank of Utah Championship earlier this month. Power is a past champion of this event.
The purse is $6 million. The winner takes $1,080,000 and the runner-up $654,000, per Golfweek's payout table. Taylor Moore, Corey Conners and Ben Silverman finished tied for third at 14 under and earn $318,000 each. Tom Hoge, Chris Kirk, Chan Kim, Danny Walker and Chandler Blanchet tied for sixth at 13 under.
What to watch
If you want to see it live, Golf Channel and its mobile app have the playoff at 8 a.m. ET Monday. The open question is the weather again: the Tour is calling the start tentative, so check the PGA Tour's X account before you tune in. Every other finishing position is already locked, so the rest of the field's paychecks are set no matter how Monday goes.
