Lee Westwood says he's 'unemployed' with no LIV 2.0 deal and a Nov. 12 DP World Tour deadline ahead
The former world No. 1 told The Chipping Forecast podcast he hasn't signed anything and hasn't talked to the DP World Tour. If he rejoins, a 10-tournament suspension would keep him out until about May.

Lee Westwood hasn't signed with LIV 2.0, hasn't rejoined the DP World Tour and, by his own description, doesn't have a job.
"There's nothing been presented to me that was agreeable for LIV 2.0. There's still a lot of things on that that would need fine tuning," Westwood said on The Chipping Forecast podcast. "Deadlines have come and gone, and I've heard nothing, whether I have to sign or I don't have to sign. I haven't signed 2.0. I haven't signed anything. This RSA everybody talks about, I haven't signed that. So literally, I'm unemployed."
The RSA is the restructuring support agreement behind LIV's plan to come out of Chapter 11 as a new league. Westwood, 53, was one of LIV's first signings in 2022, and The Golfing Gazette calls him one of its most ardent defenders.

The DP World Tour math
Westwood gave up his DP World Tour membership when he joined LIV, GolfMagic notes, so going back has a cost. He said he'd have to sign up by Nov. 12 to rejoin for 2027 and would then serve a 10-tournament suspension.
"I know that if I sign up on the 12th of November, I've then got to serve a 10-tournament suspension, which takes me through the South African Open," he said. "I feel like the first event I could play on the European Tour would be maybe Turkey, which is the first week in May."
He also told the podcast he hasn't had any dialogue with the tour yet, according to The Golfing Gazette.
That's a familiar debate for him. Last month he argued on X that LIV players without DP World Tour exemptions should go through Q School like everyone else. A rejoin with a suspension is a different route back, and it's the one he described for himself.
No statement coming
Rahm, Sergio Garcia and Ian Poulter all explained their LIV exits publicly. Westwood says he won't. "I saw [Sergio's] statement, I've seen everybody's statement, and I just don't get it. I won't be making a statement," he said. "It's nobody's business but mine where I go and play golf."
What 2027 might look like
The first event he has penciled in is an amateur one. He plans to enter the Sunningdale Foursomes with his son, Sam, in the first week of March. After that he mentioned the PGA Seniors Championship in Florida, the week after the Masters, and then possibly Turkey "if I did re-sign with the European Tour, but I'm not even sure about that."
The Irish Independent adds that the 11-time Ryder Cup player accepts he can't captain Europe under the current rules.
The date to watch is Nov. 12, his deadline to tell the DP World Tour whether he's coming back.
