  • Jason Kelce’s investment in golf has taken him to a public nine-hole course in the Catskills. Sullivan County Golf Club in Liberty, New York, is the setting for Golf Digest’s September 29 profile of the retired Eagles center, and the club’s current website lists an annual membership of $500 with unlimited golf.

  • Michael Croley’s profile describes Kelce joining a course revival led in part by golf writer Tom Coyne. Kelce told the magazine that meeting Coyne and learning about the project helped draw him in. He also recalled playing public golf in Cleveland as a child with his brother Travis and second-hand clubs supplied by their father.

The ownership connection predates the new profile. Sullivan Catskills, the region’s official tourism organization, identified Kelce and Bill Murray with the course in its May 19, 2026 season-opening notice. That notice also described Coyne as an owner and operator. The feature offers a closer look at an existing commitment.

  • What the course has changed

The club’s own history dates its opening to 1925, with an original design by Maurice McCarthy and Len Rayner. It says extensive restoration took place in 2024, ahead of its hundredth anniversary, and credits the new routing to Craig & Coyne Design.

The work included two new par threes and a new par five. The club also lists new irrigation for greens and tees, seeding and topdressing for putting surfaces, and changes to cart routing. Those are practical course improvements behind the celebrity ownership story.

    What the membership includes

The published $500 annual offer includes unlimited golf, access to member events and competitions, a pro-shop discount and an annual gift from Kelce’s Underdog Apparel. The offer appears on the club’s membership page; golfers should check directly with the course for booking arrangements and current conditions.

  • For golfers who fit the game around work and family, a public nine-hole course provides a different scale of outing. Kelce’s association puts a familiar football name alongside a course whose stated mission centers on affordable community golf. The course, its restoration and its access offer give that story substance.
