  • Two Tom Weiskopf layouts have fresh flyover videos for GSPro players. The YouTube channel Eaglesnbirdies posted a 6-minute-35-second flyover of Old Kinderhook Golf Course on Sept. 9 and a 6-minute-14-second flyover of DPC Scottsdale on Oct. 17, and labeled both as updates. Both are community-built courses, and The Course View lists both as free to play in GSPro.

GSPro Course Flyover - Old Kinderhook Golf Course - Designed by phntm2233 - UPDATE

    Read source
  • Old Kinderhook

Old Kinderhook sits at the Lake of the Ozarks in Camdenton, Missouri. The GSPro version comes from phntm2233, a designer with two dozen courses on The Course View, most of them in Missouri. The Course View lists it as version 2, a links-style layout rated intermediate at 4.1 out of 10, with five tees and 6,702 yards from the Black tees at a 133 slope. The designer recommends no wind, normal fairways and greens, and green speeds of 10 to 13 on the Stimpmeter.

The flyover opens on a par-4 first hole that plays from 322 to 428 yards depending on the tee, and follows a tree-lined cart path off the tee.

GSPro Course Flyover - DPC Scottsdale - Designed by rdeyer, runpuddrun - UPDATE

    Read source
  • DPC Scottsdale

DPC Scottsdale is a fantasy course modeled on the TPC Scottsdale Stadium Course, home of the WM Phoenix Open. The designers are rdeyer and runpuddrun. Our course page lists it as version 2, a par-71 desert layout, last updated June 21. The Course View rates it beginner at 3.7 out of 10, recommends calm wind and firm fairways, and shows six tee sets, from 7,302 yards off the Black tees at a 142 slope down to a 2,111-yard par-3 setup and a 1,142-yard junior course.

Neither video has narration. Both are music-only, so they won't tell you what changed from version 1. They work as a hole-by-hole preview.

    What to do now

If you run GSPro at home, watch the flyover before you load either course. You'll see the tee shots and green complexes before you commit to 18 holes. DPC Scottsdale's par-3 and junior tees make it an easy pick for a mixed group or for kids. Old Kinderhook's lower slope and suggested Stimp range let you tune it to the green speed you practice on.

  • Next, watch for the designers to post version notes, and circle Feb. 5 to 8, when the WM Phoenix Open is played on the real Stadium Course.
